Paper Presentation

Rules

1. This event will have only one round & winners & runners up will be declared based on this single round performance.

2. The paper must be typed in the given format below and be no more than 10 pages.

3. Only text directly related to the item being presented and any accompanying illustrations, tables, figures, etc., will count toward the 10-page limit.

4. Title pages, tables of contents, and bibliographies shall not be counted toward the limit.
(If Paper format will vary than it will be inform well by in advance)

5. The Paper must be in IEEE Format Only. For Reference follow this Link:

6. All papers should have a bibliography/works-cited page and appropriate footnotes
(any format, such as MLA, APA, etc., as long as its use is consistent throughout the document, will be acceptable).

7. Papers omitting a bibliography or using plagiarized material will be automatically disqualified.

8. Photographs should be treated as being equivalent to figures, with the caption being placed at the bottom of the photograph.

9. Photocopies of photographs are not acceptable.

10. The contestants are required to send their paper soft copy in PDF & WORD Format through register email along with an abstract (For ABSTRACT not more than 250 words) and must have to submit their paper hardcopy well before 2 days of the events

Presentation

Each team/entrant must formally present his or her paper at the day of the event. Presentations must be no longer than 10 minutes.

A 5-minute question-and-answer period will follow the presentation of the paper.

Presentations may be accompanied by visual aids.

Poster Presentation

Pictures say more than words. In this event the participants have an opportunity to present their ideas through a poster.

Rules

1. Maximum three participants in each team.

2. Topics for presentation must belong to technical background.

3. The poster sheet of a 36 inches x 24 inches (3 foot x 2 foot) can be used.

4. Drawing or painting is allowed on the sheet.

5. Students may choose to orient the poster vertically or horizontally.

6. All illustrations and text must be readable from a distance of 3 feet.

7. Computer graphics may be used.

8. The poster must include Name, Enrollment number, and Division of participant clearly on the corner of the poster in the English Language.

9. Any electronics gadgets (e.g. Laptop, mobiles etc.) are not allowed at the time of presentation.

10. Poster may be paper sheet or flex banner, but it must be supported by cardboard. Do not bring poster rolled in a tube.

Model Presentation

Rules

1. Participation fees: Rs. 50 per person
2. The topics for model presentation will be of participant's choice.
3. Maximum 5 persons per model.
4. Model should be related to technical topic.
5. Participant must bring all the accessories required for their model on their own.
6. Only 50-Hz AC power supply (1-Ø 230V, 3-Ø 415V)will be provided from department.
7. You have to represent whole model in 15 to 20 minutes.
8. The event will comprise of a model presentation and a questionnaire by the judges.
9. A working model along with effective presentation will gain more points.
10. The design should be of high quality focused chiefly on technology and innovation.
11. Intending participants should prepare their models in advance.
12. Participants have to register along with their team names.
13. The judges' decision will be final.
14. On the spot rules will be given to the participants if required.
15. Participants must bring a valid student ID to participate.

Scoring Criteria

The best model will be selected based on its efficiency, working capacity and innovativeness of the solution provided.
One student may participate in more than one model presentation (Separate registration is required).

E-GOOGLE

Rules

1. In this event, participants will have to answer the questions based on Google search.
2. Questions will be asked from various topics.
3. All year students can participate in this event.
4. This event will comprise of three rounds.
5. No negative marking in this event.
6. In first round, 30 questions to be answered with the help of Internet (Google Search) in 20 minutes.
7. 1/3 of the total participants will move further to second round based on their evaluation.
8. Second round will be containing 25 questions to be answered within 20 minutes.
9. 1/3 of the total participants will move further to third round based on their evaluation.
10. Third round will be containing 20 questions to be answered within 20 minutes.
11. Winners and runners up will be declared based on the third round evaluation.
12. Timing should be consider for participant in all the round.
Note: In case of any dispute event co-coordinator decision will be final.

ROBO SOCCER

Problem Statement:

Build a simple wired robot that can play football with each other.

Round One

1. Time limit of this round is 2:30 minutes.
2. There are 4 balls, two is red and other two is blue.
3. Robo 1 has to put red ball in goal and Robo 2 has to put blue ball in goal.
4. Teams have to earn maximum points by sending balls to their destination.
5. If Robo 1 put wrong ball in goal -5 penalty is applied and +10 point is applied to Robo 2.
6. 2 hand touch are allow.
7. Teams with higher points at the end of given time will be the winner and qualified for second round.

Round Two

1. Time limit of this round is 3:00 minutes.
2. There are 5 balls, 1 Red having 30 point, 2 blue balls having 20 points, 2 white balls having 10 points.
3. If Robo crosses the line then -5 penalty will be apply.
4. 1 hand touch are allow.
5. Two teams will face each other, team with maximum goals will be qualified for third round.

Round Three

1. Time limit of this round is 3:00 minutes.
2. There are 3 balls, 1 blue balls having 20 points, 2 white balls having 10 points
3. 1 hand touch are allow.
4. Two teams will face each other, team with maximum goals will be qualified for fourth round

Round Four

1. Time limit of this round is 3.30 minutes.
2. There are 4 balls, 1 blue balls having 30 points, 3 white balls having 15 points
3. No hand touch. If required touch than both team loss (-5) point.
4. Two teams will face each other, team with maximum goals will be qualified for fifth round.

Round Five

1. Time limit of this round is 4:00 minutes.
2. There are 4 balls, 1 blue balls having 30 points, 3 white balls having 15 point.
3. No hand touch. If required touch than both team loss (-5) point.
4. Two teams will face each other, team with maximum goals will be qualified for sixth round

Round Six

1. Time limit of this round is 5:00 minutes.
2. There are 5 balls,1 red balls having 35 points, 2 blue balls having 25 points, 2 white balls having 20 points
3. No hand touch. If required touch than both team loss (-10) point.
4. Teams have to earn maximum points by sending balls to their destination

Rules

1. Minimum two and maximum four students per group.
2. Registration will be done in group.
3. Maximum size of the ROBOT should be 30 cm x 30 cm x 30cm.
4. Size of Arena: 1.8 m X 2.7 m approximately.
5. For wired robot minimum length of wire should be six meters.
6. Touch is allowed with penalty.
7. Maximum 12 volt DC battery is allowed.
8. Each team will stand outside the arena to control particular bot.
9. Soccer ball should only be pushed, not to be grabbed by the bot.
10. Team should make sure not to damage the arena or the opponent bot. deliberate attempt to do so will lead to immediate disqualification.
11. The organizer decision will be final on issue of conflict.
The organizer reserves the right to make change of rules and the event pattern. Any significant change will be informed well in advance.
12. The organizers will reserve the rights of on the spot registrations.
Note:(1) Participant of this event can also participate in Robo race event, as the dimensions of the robot are same.
(2) If Common rules are not obey they can not participate.

ROBO CLIMBER

Registration:

Registration Fees : 600Rs./Group

Eligibility

All students are eligible to participate in Teams.
The team can consist of maximum 4 students.

Machine Specification

The machine should fit within a box of dimensions (300x300x300) mm at the start of the game.
The Machine should not weigh more than 4 KG with battery.
Both wireless and wired machines are allowed.
Use of readymade toy is not allowed, but one can use the readymade circuits.
If the machine is wired, the wire must remain slack at all time during the round. (Minimum length of wire is 4 meters).
If the machine is controlled wirelessly, the machine must have a dual frequency remote control to avoid frequency interference with other teams.

Power Supply

The electric voltage anywhere in the machine should not be more than 12V DC at any point of time.
Speed of the motors should be between 100-300 RPM.
Battery should be mounted on the chassie of the robo.
Use of IC engines in any form is not allowed.

Arena Specification

Arena will consist of path with obstacles like sand, pebbles, oil, speed breakers, tunnel, etc.

Point System

The game field is divided in numbers of zones and each zone has some points.
If the participant is not able to complete the game field than points will be given on the basis of numbers of sub zones completed.

Foul/Penalties

The robot is not allowed to go out of the track or sub zone.
If it goes out of track or sub zone than violation will be considered and accordingly points will be deducted.
After that, the participants have to start the game from the starting of that particular zone.
While doing so the participants will be allowed to put the robot by hands and one touch as a penalty will be counted.
Machines damaging any part of the arena will be disqualified. Damaging does not include unintentional scratches on the any surface by the machine.

Rounds

The first round will be the elimination round. In this the participants will have to finish sub zones (containing hurdle) in time limit.
After the elimination round the difficulty level will be increased in consequent rounds.
