Paper Presentation

Description

Team can have maximum of 2 participants.

There is no restriction on the numbers of team from the same college.

Rules

1. Entry fees: 50 Rs. Per student
2. Submit your abstract on smm.fetr@gmail.com latest by 10th September 2018.
3. Your work should be original and the papers should be in standard IEEE format.
4. Submission of abstract (In a pdf Format) for not more than 300 words before the due date.
5. The competition is open to all Civil Engineering students.
6. This event can be participated by single author or as a team.
7. Deviation from the given formats and rules may also lead to disqualification.
8. The contestants are required to send only a soft copy of their entry along with an abstract.
9. You are required to provide a PDF (Portable Document Format) file of your final written paper.
10. Do not passwords protect or add bookmarks to your PDF file.
11. Faculty co-ordinator reserve the right to disqualify any paper that does not fit an appropriate category.
12. The selected participants should submit a hard copy of the paper with abstract in the beginning in A4 sheets not exceeding ten pages(including references, tables and figures)
13. Judge`s decision will be final for the award of prize.
14. The following details should be sent along with the paper.
15. Name of the participant, College, department and year of study, Contact details-Mobile no. and e-mail id.

Presentation

1. Each team/entrant must formally present his or her paper at the day of the event. Presentations must be no longer than 10 minutes.
2. The presentation should last a maximum of 7 minutes. There will be a 3 minutes query and answer session following it.
3. Presentations may be accompanied by visual aids.
4. The oral presentation should be in the form of Microsoft power point slides.
5. The recommended fonts are: Title fonts: Times New Roman, 14 font size, Bold, left alignment; Sub Title fonts: Times New Roman, 12 font size, Bold and Justified alignment.
6. All the team members may be present during the event. There will be an interactive session with the judges, other participants and students during the time allotted for the event. Paper presentation is the oral summary of an accomplished research study of an empirical or theoretical nature. The presenters are requested to present their papers with only occasional reference to their notes rather than by reading out previously prepared texts.

Poster Presentation

Description

Entry fees: 50 Rs. Per student

Team can have maximum of 3 participants.

Spot entry will be allowed before one hour of event.

A team/person can submit and present only one poster.

No participants can be part of more than one team.

There is no restriction on the numbers of team from the same college

Rules

1. Size of Poster A1 Sheet- 60cm X 90 cm (24’’ X 36’’)(compulsory)
2. The competition is open to all Civil Engineering students
3. Any topic will be taken to make poster regarding civil engineering.
4. A content in the poster should include Institute name, Institute logo, Topic name Introduction, Methodology, Data collection, Data analysis, Conclusion, participants name and Guide name.
5. Any kind of breach of discipline may also lead to disqualification.
6. Faculty coordinators reserve the right to disqualify any poster that does not fit an appropriate category.
7. Judge`s decision will be final for the award of prize.

MODEL PRESENTAION

Description

Participation fees: Rs. 50 per person.

Team can have maximum of 3 participants.

Rules

1. 3 students per team will be allowed.
2. No material restriction for model.
3. Maximum allowable area of model is 5 feet x 3 feet.
4. Ready-made models will be disqualified.
5. Presentation time is 10 min to 15 min including question-answer round.
6. Participants have to submit hard copy of brief description of the model with them.
7. Models have to be displayed for two days (14 & 15 September) during event and participants have to be present for their demonstration during those timings.
8. Judges decision will be final.

1. Participants have to reveal the signs, logo and image shown to them in various technical rounds.
2. No. of rounds will be decide on the basis on the entries by the Faculty Coordinators.
3. Content of the event basically Covers (Traffic signs and symbol, Technical Figures, Abbreviation used in civil, Various Company Logo and Images of some beautiful Creation & Structure by civil Engineers)
4. Final decision will be reserved by Faculty Coordinators.
5. There will be exclusive price for DIPLOMA level participants

Bridge Structure

Description

Limited Entry (First 50)

Rules

1. Candy stick will be given to each participant.
2. All required materials and dimensions will be provided.
3. Pinning and clamping are not allowed to be used for connections.
4. Time given to the participants would be 3 hours.
5. The team which produces a bridge which is able to bear the maximum load will be the winner.
6. Failure to abide by these rules will result in disqualification.

Photo Mania

Description

Participation fees: Rs.50/- per person

Participation will be individual.

Rules

Theme :Technical (Instruments, Laboratories, etc…) Institute (Building, Parking, Departments, Canteen, Event etc.)
1. Participants are permitted to submit a maximum of five photographs.
2. The material related to photography (e.g. camera etc.) need to be arranged by participants only.
3. All camera and accessories are allowed.
4. Mobile phones are not allowed for photography.
5. Event will commence sharp at 10:00 AM in the institute in room no.B-206
6. Photos must be in JPEG format.
7. Any editing of photography for better appearance of the photograph is prohibited (e.g. filters, color enhancement etc.)
8. Participants have to submit their photographs individually at 4.00 PM on 14/09/2018 in room no. B-102 (Civil Engineering Department Computer Lab).
9. Top 10 participants will be selected for the next phase.
10. In next phase selected 10 participants have to present their selected photograph.
11. Any submission of photographs not adhering to the above rules and regulations will be rejected.
12. Final decision will be taken by faculty coordinators/Judge assigned for the event and the results will be declared by the same.
