CHEM-O-CAR

Description

Participation fees: 50 per person

Rules

1. Participants have to prepared a vehicle propellants system which is run by merely any chemical reaction.
2. Using this propellants system the participants have to run a car.
3. The vehicle must be in car shape.
4. Merely open system will be not allowed.
5. Car should travel on pre-specified path, longer the distance covered will get greater points.
6. Another chance will be given to all who ask for it but condition is that actual running distance will be consider as car travel in second chance, Distance in first chance will not be consider.
7. Explosive and Hazardous chemicals are not allowed to use.
8. Chemicals should be bring by participants.
9. Final round is surprise round

CHEM-O-QUIZ

Description

In this event limited number of question will be asked to participants in limited period of time. Question will be related to chemical engineering.

Participation fees: 50 per person

Rules

1. Only team entries are eligible.
2. A team must contain 2 or 3 members.
3. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
4. The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
5. The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, True / False statement, Specific-answer question etc.
6. Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.
7. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.

Pre-Qualifying Round:

Each team would be given a set of question paper containing 25 multiple choice objective type questions. If necessary the Written Test will be conducted on 15/9/2018 at 8.30:a.m.
Time limit - 15 minutes.
In case of tie between 2 or more teams, Tie- -breaker round will be conducted.
Only 05 Teams would be selected for QUIZ STAGE ROUNDS.

Contraption

Description

Registration fees:50 Rs./- per person

Rules

1. Maximum 5 members per team are allowed.
2. Maximum 5 minutes will be provided to complete one run.
3. Points will be calculated based on
Total no. of steps involved. (2 Points per step)
Total no. of energy conversions. (4 Points per step)
Successful completion of final step. (10 Points per step)
4. If team members believe that touch is required to maintain continuity of their run, they have to inform to the coordinators first before implementing it. Rules for physical touch are:
Maximum 2 physical touches will be allowed by each team. (No negative marking)
After 2 touches, 3 additional touches will be allowed. (Negative marking) i.e. 1st & 2nd attempt – no negative; 3rd attempt: -1; 4th attempt: -2; 5th attempt: -3.
Completion of run without touch will be eligible for bonus point (+2 points).
Team having more than total 5 touches in one run will be disqualified.
5. You have to include minimum 3 energy conversions in your contraption model.
6. Consecutive energy conversions can’t be consider as energy conversion (i.e. transformation from mechanical energy to mechanical energy can’t be consider as energy conversion)
7. Submit following details in soft copy before at least 1 day of the event.

8. All the participants must be present before 2 hrs of the event timing. During that 2 hrs each team will be provided specified area to arrange their respective setup. All the participants must complete their contraption setup within 2 hrs. No additionally time will be provided to arrange the setup.

Note:

1. 2nd run will be provided to each team (2nd run will be provided based on number of total entries. Decision will be taken by faculty coordinator only). If 2nd run has been provided to each team, best performed run will be considered.
2. If two teams are having same points, the team will be considered as a winner which will have maximum no. of energy conversions.
3. It is compulsory for participants to bring college I-card at the time of event.
4. The organizers have the right to change or update the rules at any time and will do best to inform.

Level : 1 Cricket Player Auction

Rules

1. 10 teams will participate in this level. Each team have 5 members.
2. All teams have list of players which are going to auction. Each player have their specific amount and points.
3. Every participation team have 30cr limited budget and in that they choose 7 Player from the auction bid.
4. In that 7 players they choose 3 Batsman, 2 Bowlers, 1 Wicketkeeper, 1 All-Rounder
5. Top 6 teams with highest no. of points will go to the 2nd round and other 4 teams will take part in the wildcard round.
6. If Any changes will require before or during the event that will be done by the Faculty and Student coordinators.

Level : 2 Identifying Gestures

1. Top 6 teams from the 1st round will take part in this level.
2. In this level they have one word and that word they have to explain by the gestures.
3. In the gestures they don’t use HAND or LIPS.
4. From the 5 team members 4 members doing gesture and 1 will identify that gesture.
5. Each team have 90sec to identify the gesture.
6. If there is any lip or hand moment identify by the Coordinators that team is directly disqualified from the event.
7. If Any changes will require before or during the event that will be done by the Faculty and Student coordinators.

Level : 3 Wildcard Entry (List of the things)

1. Eliminated team from 1st and 2nd level will take part in this level.
2. Each team have one picture that picture carrying multiple things.
3. Each team have 1 minute time in that first 20sec picture will appear and other 40sec they have time to list out the things.
4. Top 2 teams which have highest no. list out things they will qualified for the 4th level.
5. If Any changes will require before or during the event that will be done by the Faculty and Student coordinators.

Level : 4 Non-Technical Quiz

1. Team of 2nd and 3rd (Wildcard) round will play this quiz.
2. Each team have 90sec to answer the asked question.
3. Here question are from non technical field.
4. Which team give highest no. of correct answer will win the round.
5. From 5 teams 2 teams will qualified for the final round.

The event is all about building working models. This event involves a participant's innovative skills, interpreting natural phenomena and presenting it in the form of a model. Rules

1. The topics for model presentation will be of participant choice or ideas from Faculties.
2. Maximum 3 persons per model.
3. Model should be related to technical topic.
4. Participant must bring all the accessories needed for their model on their own. Only single Phase power supply & limited utility will be provided here.
5. You have to represent your whole model in 10 minutes.
6. The event will comprise of a model presentation and a questionnaire by the judges.
7. A working model along with effective presentation will gain more points.
8. The design should be of high quality focused chiefly on technology and innovation.
9. Intending participants should prepare their models in advance.
10. Participants have to register along with their team names.
11. The judge’s decision will be final.
12. On the spot rules will be given to the participants if required.
13. Participants must bring a valid student I-Card to participate.
14. Scoring Criteria: The best model will be selected based on its efficiency, working capacity and innovativeness of the solution provided.

Paper Presentation

Description

Rules

1. Maximum 2 members are allowed per team.
2. Abstract should not exceed 250 words.
3. Submit abstract to e-mail addresses(kdd.fetr@gmail.com OR kvv.fetr@gmail.com) only as an attachment. The abstract should be in Times New Roman with font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing.
4. Abstract should be submitted on or before 12th Sep. 2018.
5. If abstract is selected, confirmation mail will be sent.
6. Full paper must be submitted after getting confirmation mail of selection of abstract.
7. FORMAT for the paper shall be available on website or the same will be shared via email to the participants.
8. Hard copy of full paper must be submitted at the time of event, it must not exceed 10 pages.
9. It is compulsory for participants to bring college I-card at the time of event.
10. Please bring soft copy of power point presentation at a time of presentation. The presentation must include the name of the participants and the college name.
11. The presentation time will be of 7 minutes. The next 2 minute time is reserved for the questions from judges/present audience. There will be a warning bell at the end of 5 minutes.
12. No extra time will be given after 7 minutes and one has to stop as soon as possible.

Poster Presentation

Description

In this event, contestants have to prepare a poster that effectively showcases new ideas and innovations pertaining to interdisciplinary fields of engineering. The main idea of the event is to analyze a topic and exhibit presentation skills within the restricted space of expression. Participants are required to present their poster to a panel of eminent judges. The entire presentation must not exceed 20 minutes

Registration fees: 50 Rs. / person

Rules

1. All data and figures, including references are to be included on the poster; other presentation aids like slides or pamphlets will not be allowed.
2. Contestants will have to register online for the event
3. Team size is restricted to maximum of two members.
4. While registering, participants are required to submit an abstract of their idea online. The abstract should not exceed 500 words.
5. Short listing will be done based on the abstract.
6. Selected candidates have to present their idea on a standard poster of dimensions 4(H)ftx3(W) ft.
7. The poster can be either handmade or printed.
8. All relevant data and figures must be represented in the poster.
9. Organizers’ decision will be final and binding.
10. The organizers have the right to change or update the rules at any time and will do best to inform.

Corrosion Failure Analysis

Description

In this event, contestants have to collect a Scrap Sample which is especially corrosion affected from industry that effectively showcases new ideas and innovations pertaining to interdisciplinary fields of engineering. The main idea of the event is to analyze a Scrap Sample and exhibit presentation skills. Participants are required to present their Sample to a panel of eminent judges. The entire presentation must not exceed 15 minutes.

Rules

1. All data and figures including references are to be included on the presentation.
2. Contestants will have to register online/ offline for the event
3. While registering, participants are required to submit the real Scrap sample
4. Short listing will be done based on the sample.
5. Selected candidates have to present their interpretation/assumption/conclusion/suggested remedial actions/consequences of failure on a power point presentation.
6. All relevant data and figures must be represented in the power point presentation.
7. Organizers’ decision will be final and binding.
8. Team size is restricted to maximum of three members.

Chem-o-missile

Description

Registration fees:- 50 Rs./ person

Rules

1. Maximum number of participants allowed is 2 per team.
2. Explosive material can be used, but at your own risk.
3. The projectile would be launched from a common launching pad.
4. The object should achieve minimum height that is provided at the time of event to qualify for the event.
5. After achievement of minimum height criteria, the horizontal distance covered by the missile at the first fall on ground will be considered.
6. Maximum three trials will be given. The best result from the given three trails will be considered.
7. Dimensions for missile : Maximum length 45 cm & Maximum Diameter 12 cm
